Survivalist 1: bluegills with cheese bait
- Weapon or tool: Fishing rod
- Ammo or bait: Cheese bait
The video does the Chapter 3 side mission with Kieran (fishing). Use CHEESE BAIT to catch bluegills. Catch 3.

KEEP the fish - catch 5

Keep fishing until you have 5 fish, even after Survivalist 1 completes. KEEP them, do not throw them back.

Survivalist 2: hand them in at camp

This is why you kept the fish - donate them for provisions at camp (or give them to the trapper).

Survivalist 3: varmint rifle outside camp
- Where: Outside camp near the horse fence

Just outside camp (Chapter 3) there are tons of animals near the horse fence. Kill 5 with the VARMINT RIFLE.

Buy the arrow pamphlets at Seamus (or any fence) under "ALL" or "DOCUMENTS" - e.g. Poison Arrow Pamphlet ($58).

Read the pamphlet, then craft

If the recipe does not show, open the pamphlet from your satchel and READ it first. Then craft each arrow: poison, small game, improved, fire.

Survivalist 5: get a boat
- Where: Boat spot shown at 2:35:54, Kamassa River

The easiest place to get a boat is this spot. Fish anywhere in the Kamassa River from the boat.

Catch a SMALL fish from the boat

It may not count if you catch a big fish like a sturgeon - use worm or bread bait for a small one.

Shoot the ravens that land on the body

Ravens fly down to eat the body. Shoot them only once they are eating. Leave the body there.

Second bait spot, go back and forth

Place bait in a 2nd spot, then go back and forth between the two bodies, shooting scavengers (coyotes, ravens) while they eat.

Wait till night at the Emerald Ranch goats

Go to Emerald Ranch, wait until NIGHT, then go to where the goats and chickens are. Shoot 8 in a row with small game arrows.

Survivalist 8: craft the improved tomahawk and volatile dynamite

Craft an IMPROVED TOMAHAWK (1 tomahawk + 1 eagle feather) and VOLATILE DYNAMITE. Pamphlets are sold at fences.
